For the users who have been using Windows 10 after an upgrade, the resolution and display settings and quite the same with the same options popping out from the right side of the screen. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.

What I did to solve the problem in Windows 8 was connected via remote desktop , was to 1 Open Task Manager 2 Find Windows Explorer 3 Select Restart. Lol Though that was my problem. In the box, go ahead and type in explorer.
Last week for some reason my task bar, start menu and icons all disappeared, all that was on my screen when I signed on was my desktop wallpaper. I simply went to the white desktop button at the bottom left of the computer screen, clicked it once. We had to go into the display right click on the desktop, properties and settings. You may have a 1 2 and 3 showing up, this is for each monitor, 1 should look normal, with any other numbers greyed out. It sounds like there is a deeper problem than just the driver, especially since the icon is disappearing and reappearing. I tried the articles way of trying to fix it, although, when I read the comments, someone mentioned that the computer might think 2 monitors are installed, and the task bar is on the other monitor. In Windows, you can just press the Windows Key + P or go to the Control Panel, click on Display and then click on Adjust Resolution or Change Display Settings. I have been messing with this computer I just reimaged for about an hour and a half. The Taskbar disappeared as wel. That was the first time it ever happened. The two monitors are connected via one adapter card. I went into windows and now my taskbar is gone.
